Heidi Crebo-Rediker
General Partner and Executive Vice President
Heidi Crebo-Rediker is a General Partner and Executive Vice President at America’s Frontier Fund.
Heidi has held senior leadership positions at the intersection of national
economic security, international finance and policy, both in government and
finance, over the past 30 years. She is also an Adjunct Senior Fellow at the
Council on Foreign Relations.
From August 2019, she co-led the international economic policy team for
the Biden Presidential campaign, crafting and contributing to a broad range
of issues including national economic security and competitiveness, supply
chain resilience, currency, macro and markets, trade, sanctions and other
economic tools, and China policy. She served on the Biden Treasury
Agency Review Transition team as lead on International Affairs through
January 2021.
Heidi served in the Obama Administration as the State Department’s first
Chief Economist, an Assistant Secretary level position. She designed the
mission, recruited key staff and provided strategic advice and analysis to
two Secretaries of State on a wide range of foreign policy issues, both on
crisis-related and longer-term challenges with economic drivers, such as
global infrastructure investment and challenges posed by China’s state
capitalism investment model. Before this, she served as the Chief of
International Finance and Economics for the Senate Committee on Foreign
Relations. Over her nearly two-decade investment banking career based in
Europe as a Managing Director at several bulge bracket investment banks,
she managed businesses in European Debt Capital Markets, Emerging
Markets, and Sovereign, Supranational and Public Sector Banking. She
began her career in energy merchant banking after working for one of the
first U.S.-Russian Joint Ventures, based on Sakhalin Island.
Heidi was named one of the “Top 25 Women in Business” by The Wall
Street Journal Europe. She holds a BA from Dartmouth College and MSc
from the London School of Economics.
